Overview

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Athletics - Meadows Campus Sports Complex, the Evening Supervisor is a full-time, benefits eligible position that assists in the daily administration, operation and management of the Meadows Campus Sports Complex during evening hours. The Meadows Campus Sports Complex includes a 180,000 square foot Racquet Center (Tennis, Squash, Fitness, and a large Special Event Space), a softball stadium, baseball stadium, Rugby complex, and a cross country course. Hours are determined by the schedule of the building and the time of the year. Hours during the academic year will likely be until midnight Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Assistant Director of Athletics and the Facilities Operations Manager in the oversight of the Meadows Campus Sports Complex.
  • Work from the front entry welcome desk controlling access to the various areas of the facility, while representing the athletic department in a professional manner.
  • Enforce all policies and procedures of the facility to minimize risk and provide for the well-being of all groups.
  • Interact with patrons of the facility and resolve customer complaints/concerns.
  • Be a positive resource of information for the department of athletics and the university community.
  • Take reservations for the use of the tennis courts and squash courts.
  • Keep accurate records of the use of all tennis courts.
  • Collect, record, and deposit tennis fees daily.
  • Be familiar with the athletic facilities, athletic schedules and coaches/staff.
  • Lock and unlock facilities, while supervising student and casual hourly staff.
  • Assist in the event management of special events held on the Meadows Campus as needed.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Adhere to Ivy League and NCAA rules and regulations.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to be resourceful and resolve problems.
  • High degree of responsibility and accountability.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills for relating in person and by phone to staff, students and the general public.
  • Customer service-oriented.
  • Proficient with MS office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • First Aid, CPR & AED Certified subsequent to hire.
  • Previous experience in an athletic environment is preferred, but not required.
