Campus Dining invites applications for a Foodservice worker in our Yeh College Dining Hall at Princeton University. In alignment with the core values of the Department of Campus Dining, the Foodservice Worker is responsible for cold food preparation, front-of-house service and ware-washing. The Foodservice Worker is responsible for all levels of customer service and for maintaining the kitchen and stations in a clean, safe and orderly fashion.
Schedule: Mon, Tues, Fri-Sun 12:30pm-9pm
Wednesday and Thursday off

About the Role:
This position offers a recurring academic year schedule, making it an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking employment aligned with the higher education calendar. Employees do not work during the summer months and dates are per the University academic calendar. University benefits for this position are included for a full calendar year.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED or at least one (1) year of relevant experience.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with a diverse population.
• Must have strong multi-tasking skills and be able to work in a fast-paced diverse
environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, extended and evening
hours, and required work outside of the assigned unit. Must be able to meet the
needs of an essential personnel position.
• Must comply with Campus Dining protocols and procedures, including safety and
uniform standards.
• Must have knowledge of food preparation and ability to coordinate tasks to meet
production deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
• Collegiate dining experience.
• Knowledge of HACCP policies and procedures.
• Experience with digital and analog thermometers and utilize scales and other
measuring devices.
• Skilled in presenting and garnishing food.
• Experience with a variety of kitchen and service equipment including dishmachines, steamers, ovens, slicers, choppers, mixers, blenders, various hot and
cold beverage dispensers, coffee brewers, espresso/cappuccino machines, flash
freezer, and various hand tools.
Essential Job Functions:
• stand or walk up to 2 hours at one time for a total of 6-8 hours per day;
• sit for no more than 2 hours during an 8 hour day, except for cashiers and card
checkers who may sit for 2 – 4 hours at one time for a total of 4 – 6 hours per
day;
• drive for no more than 30 minutes at one time;
• lift or carry up to 30 pounds in a range of motions from floor to
overhead frequently (34 – 66% of the workday);
• lift or carry up to 50 pounds in a range of motions from floor to chest
height occasionally (less than 33% of the workday);
• push or pull using forces up to 50 pounds occasionally (less than 33 % of
the workday);
• use arms and hands for simple grasping, fine manipulation, pushing or pulling
with forces up to 5 pounds continuously (67 – 100% of the workday) and up to
30 pounds frequently (34 – 66% of the workday);
• bend, squat, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, lift overhead occasionally
(less than 33% of the work day);
• work under a range of temperature conditions (e.g., kitchens, walk-in
refrigerators and freezers, etc);
• Possess physical agility, full range of motion, and ability to maintain balance
• Adheres to University/EHS PPE Safety Policies.
