The Landscaper position provides assistance in support of the Campus Grounds Operations by maintaining, preserving and improving the university grounds. Always follows all University safety rules and regulations and is proficient in basic grounds maintenance, horticultural practices and landscaping operations. This position’s normal workweek is Monday – Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm. Based on business needs, other work schedules may be assigned or required. Level of position and pay (minimum of $22.15 to a minimum of $25.05) will be commensurate with experience, knowledge, and needs of the department.

Possessing comprehensive theoretical and practical HVAC working knowledge, the Lead HVAC Mechanic will assume responsibility for the effective and safe completion of corrective and preventive maintenance activities, along with field related work for a variety of University HVAC Shop projects. The position responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to leading other trades personnel during completion of HVAC related work tasks and projects, promptly resolving problems should they arise, assuring a safe work environment, completing shop work on schedule and communicating regularly with supervisors and appropriate stakeholders.

Based on work unit business needs, applicants must be available to work either a Monday through Friday, or a Tuesday through Saturday work week. In addition, the applicant will typically be scheduled to either a 7:00AM – 3:30PM or an 8:30AM – 5:00PM daily work shift. Other work schedules may be assigned during the summer period.

Reporting to the Special Facilities Supervisor at Guyot/Moffett, the Special Facilities Assistant Supervisor for the Hopewell Research Facility (HRF) will initially be assigned to monitor site construction and “learn” the building during its final stages of renovation. Following construction and turnover to Facilities Operations, the Assistant Supervisor will assume supervisory responsibility for monitoring building operations, serve as a liaison with the building management contractor, and assess different options to provide ongoing facilities support. The Assistant Supervisor will also work closely with Laboratory Animal Resources (LAR) to ensure that their facilities needs are satisfied, and any concerns are clearly communicated and understood by the building maintenance contractor. ...
The HVAC Mechanic is a member of the Facilities Operations. Possessing journey level skills and experience, and with minimum oversight, the HVAC Mechanic is responsible for safely completing a full complement of journey level HVAC tasks, including, but not limited to the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair to a wide-range of campus HVAC equipment. The incumbent follows University safety rules and regulations at all times, along with established safety work procedures. The HVAC Shop members are represented by SEIU Local 175.
Possessing comprehensive theoretical and practical working knowledge, the Senior DDC Controls Technician installs, services, maintains, calibrates, troubleshoots, and programs a variety of campus HVAC, DDC and pneumatic building control systems to effectively maintain HVAC comfort, ensure maximum energy conservation and prevent system and equipment failures. As needed, the incumbent may assume the duties of HVAC Controls Shop Supervisor.
